"Every Home A Classroom" ^TM TechCamp  2K8 (2008)

The ComputerCorps "Every-Home-A-Classroom" ^TM TechCamp is a summer program for youth 10-15 years old.   This 2-week program gives kids the opportunity to learn about computer recycling, testing and assembly while building a computer system they can take home or give to a needy family at the end of camp.  

This year, five separate two-week camps will be held throughout the summer in Carson City, NV with each camp consisting of up to 18 kids. Daily activities include “learning”, “doing” and “having fun” sessions taking place 3 hours a day.

The Starting Dates for the "Every Home A Classroom" TechCamp 2K8 (2008) are:

   TechCamp Alpha  --  June 9th - June 20th ( C L O S E D  for Registration )
   TechCamp Bravo  --  June 23rd - July 3rd ( C L O S E D for Registration)
   TechCamp Charlie  --  July 7th - July 18th ( O P E N for Registration)
   TechCamp Delta  --  July 21st - August 1st ( C L O S E D  for Registration )
   TechCamp Echo  --  August 4th - August 15th ( O P E N  for Registration )

The tuition for the TechCamp is $450 and includes all materials, tools, snacks, TechCamp shirts and a 2 Gigahertz+ computer system which the child builds during the camp. 

Low-income families are encouraged to apply as some scholarships and sponsorship are available from businesses and service organizations.

Parents are encouraged to participate as counselors and teachers and adult volunteers are always welcome to participate.

"Every Home A Classroom" ^TM TechCamp  2K8 Sponsors Needed

Sponsors (individuals, businesses and service organizations) are needed for TechCamp 2K8 to encourage families with limited funds to apply for scholarships for their children who want to attend camp.
